Got FOIPA back..

At least for the 'main files'. You know that you will clear the main files portion of the name check. So yes, this is somewhat good news. I say somewhat because the FOIPA for FBI name check does not check the 'reference files'. So you could get a hit when that is performed.

But, I have a feeling everything will be okay for you buddy.

Later.

I would think that 99% people who are stuck in name check had not main file records too. It is the reference file checks that are the problem where the "hits" require manual checking and backlogging. Well, let us hope you are not stuck due to reference file name check hits:)

No record.
So I guess this is a good sign...

I hope so..
Considering where I am from, we get extra check all the time :)
But, how different should this be from when I got a visa in 2002 and the GC in 2003..
So I am hoping it will go well..

Money checks you mean?
I am totally with you, I was reading FBI report the other day and it was saying that one hit on your name will somtimes take about several years.
I hope we don't get hit.

Did it occur to anyone that just the act of asking FBI for FOIPA gives them a probable cause to open a file on you?

Palestine is worse for sure. Iran's relations with the US may improve with a new US president. Iranian people are friendly to the Americans and the problem is with the regime just like the cuban case.
lol which is worse? Iran or Palestine for background check?

Cuba didn't have Oil? Either you have to have your own government over there or it won't work...
