got EAD today at Boston INS

Finally, after applying for a new EAD in the week of Thanksgiving, getting a notice that ask me to pick it up in the week of 12/9, I got my EAD today.

Where did you apply for EAD -- at VSC or BOSTON same day.

(a) Did you apply at VSC and the service center asked you to collect it from BOSTON office

or

(b) Applied at BOSTON office after receiving receipt of I-485 and instead of giving the EAD card same day, it took nearly two weeks to receive the card.
 
I also got the EAD at Boston office today, My story is:
Applied EAD at Boston INS on Nov 18 and was told that I can't
get it the same day but will receive a approval notice in 30 days ! I still not receive the notice by last Friday but my working visa (L1A) is expiring today! I have to come in Boston INS early morning today. Thanks God I succesfully convinced a kind officier to issue me the EAD today. it just took him 10 minutes though. I feel released now!
