Got EAD but I-94 is expiring

I got my EAD last month. It's valid till 01/2006. The date stamped on my I-94 card is 06/2005. If I don't get my actual green card before the expiration of I-94 do I have to leave the country?

Since an EAD was issued to me the common sense is to let the person stay until the green card verdict is given. As we all know in legal matter sometime common wisdom doesn't prevail.

If you have any comments please do let me know.

Sincerely,
/simon

You can renew your EAD.

Well, an EAD is only valid in conjunction with a legal status. It itself doesn't dictate whether your status is legal or not.

If you have applied to get your green card through an adjustment of status (AOS), your will stay legally in the U.S. until they render a decision on your application. Your status will be "AOS pending".
