Last week, he was crying for his RFI, haha, life is just full of magic.

Congratulations! - RFI received? - Last Update Date changed?

Hi windywd,

Congratulations! This is good news for all of us!

By the way, did your cousin receive RFI eventually? Was your cousin’s Last Update Date ever changed recently (before his/her final approval)? It will be really interesting and strange if the USCIS approved your cousin’s case without sending RFI and updating his/her online status. Please share with us.

Congratulations again!

He received RFI last Saturday and mailed them right back the same day, via overnight mail. In the email, it says they approved on Tuesday, the same day they are supposed to receive the mail.

The interesting thing is, our attorney sent them our bio in March round, although we did not receive RFI. I guess our attorney just did it in a batch for every case, regardless of whether INS requested or not. I think INS must think they already got it. Well, hello, yes for March one, not for June one.

Just talked with my attorney, sort of complaining: why my cousin got approval while I still haven't?

He laughed back: "If they go with RD but not ND, you are supposed to get it at least half year later. Now you will get it around September."

'All right. I am not complaining."

He told me there is a large scale of mail loss for RFI, but the bio notices are much better. He expects to ask them to re-send all RFI notices to east coast in the 7/29 conference call. He also will ask them to update their schedule online to give everybody a better idea when their case will be approved. "They are supposed to update every QUARTER, according to settlement."

Thanks and one more question?

Windywd, thanks a lot for the quick response. One more question please?

After your cousin got RFI but BEFORE he got the final approval email, do you happen to know whether his Last Updated Date on INS website was changed or not?

Thanks.

His LUD is last Friday. This is the third time I called in for his RFI. When they mail you something (NOT for FP, at least for my case), LUD will be updated.

Hope it is helpful.
