Just got an RFE asking for "joint" documents from me and my husband. Problem is, all our stuff is under my name because of his bad past reputation of not paying his bills on time - past though (e.g. he can't get approved to get his own phoneline, and he can't get approved to open a bank account - even when i try to add him under mine and after we paid what he owed)

Should i send include a letter in my reply including this explanation?

The only thing we have so far are:

Copies of our CA ID with same address
Lease agreement (Renewed yearly so we have 2010,2011,2012)
Printout of our rent receipts showing both our names
Letters from our landlord and neighbor stating theyve known us etc etc
Joint tax returns

Anything else I could add?

Yes I751.

We've sent in a lot of photographs thinking they'd at least makeup for our lack of documents but we were wrong...

Photographs don't have as much weight as commingling of finances. You cannot submit what you do not have nor manufacture evidence. Submit whatever you have, if it's not good enough they'll call you for an interview. Don't stress too much about what you cannot control. Yeah I know, easier said than done.

My husband told me the same thing, if we don't have it then we don't have it. Haha! I was thinking of sending in more photographs but they did not mention needing more in the letter - so I'm hesitant. Would it work against us if we sent in something we didnt ask for?

Also while we dont have joint finances, obviously our individual bills are sent to our house. We have a lot of those. Should I send it to them too or will it not matter if it does not have both our names?
