INS has issued an RFE for me. My wife's case remains unchanged. Guess it is for the employment letter and stuff like that.

I wonder what else could it be?

could you tell us when it was issued?

Also please update us on the RFE details when you do get it.

Its probably pay stubs or a letter

Sure will do

I have already changed a job and changing second time on Jan2 . So hope will not have issues. Worst case scenario. Screw this thing and will go home happily. And they lived happily ever after ....

What's wrong with INS

Why are they harrasing the applicants ? I don't recall seeing so man of these RFE's in past.

RFE Date?

Don't worry man..you should be ok..changing job two times is no reason for denial..my cousin did it and got approved without even an RFE ( i.e. he changed two times after applying for 485)

Changing into a management role

Changing into a management role. Different from what is in LC. LC was applied in 1997. If INS expects me to remain there without growth in my carrer then I dont care. But the company said they will help me giving a letter as I wanted. Hopefully, that will suffice. Again as I said worst case ; screw it. I am totally sick and fedup of this. So let us wait and see.

If possible, please update the spreadsheet that I put together on the Oct tracker (thread started by Bumas) when you have a moment. It will help the others get an idea..

Thanks

i too got rfe

hi,
i too got rfe yesterday(changed online).no details yet.you guys also share details.it helps some time.both my wife and i got the rfe.
thanks

Did you change jobs ?

My wife did not get rfe. so I think it is for the pay stubs or letter.

Your case might be different - like marriage cert or something like that

Did he notify INS of job change

hey Man

can you tell us, if your brother notified INS about the job change (I know it is optional, that is why I asked)
Also did he change addresses or not ?

From my experience, if you change job and your address - you may not notify INS of the job change , but you're forced to notify them of address change. Which could trigger an RFE (especially if you changed States)

Otherwise if you're at the same address, INS has no reason to believe anything is amiss.

Anyway if you could share the info I requested, that'll b a help.

Thx

You know because of the "freeze" they cannot approve any cases, so they have to do something to while away their time....hence the RFEs

I think the question informing to INS was to me

When I last changed my job I did inform INS about it. My lawyer insisted on it. On the hind sight, if you ask me, I would not have done it. But I thought the lawyer knows better than me. May be I am wrong. I did not change the address through out my 485. I came to the present place and applied my 485. So, may be it is just that INS wants to delay the process by issuing rfe. May be they have a ligitimate questions in their notice. Will keep you posted as soon as I get the notice in hand.

I have my fingers crossed. This is f***ing pathetic and painful. Cant deal with this shit anymore.

Relax you are almost there

Canvrgtitright,

You are about to get it right, don't let the frustration spoil the party, give them what they need, get your green card. It's just the process we/they have to live thru it.

After you get your card in those grubby hands then you can make the rational decision to return home if you wish to do so.

good luck,

harris

The Rfe is for Medical

Just came to know from my attorney. The Rfe is for Medical and INS wants a X-Ray of my chest. Guess the doctor screwed up. Any complication that anyone is aware of with this. My guess is it is very simple. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks

It is likely related to the results of the Tuberculosis skin test (on your underarm). If you were vacinated as a kid you will show a slight skin reaction; however, as a precaution the INS requires an x-ray to be sure that the skin reaction is due to the vaccination not an infection if the reaction is more than 0.5mm (or something like that).

It is good to hear that the RFE was not for tax returns, employer letter and the like. I started to think that the INS will raise the bar by issuing more and more RFEs like that.
