Got a call from FBI Name Check program....Hmmm...

Well, to begin with, on June 2 I got a reply email from FBI, saying that my name check is pending since Mar 2003.

After that I got a little upset and wrote letters to all the FBI big shots mentioned in Rahul Kumar note, as well as letter to our senator.

Today I got a call on my cell phone from FBI Name check division.

Brief details are here:

1) Nice lady asked me when did I send email with status inquiry to FBI?
2) I found exact date on my computer and said that date, adding that i got response on Jun,2nd with "pending for many month reply". She found this email somewhere and confirmed they have it.
3) I was put on hold for 2-3 minutes
4) After that she said, thank you for waiting "I hope you will hear from us very very soon"....
5) After that I said thank you and she hung up

I wonder, what's the meaning of this entirely strange event?
 
What did u write to them 'slt' ? !!!!. :D :D

Never heard that someone get call from them. consider urself luky :D

Well

Well, it was pretty standard, i just mentioned that twice in 2001 and 2002 when getting H1Bs, i was run through DOS "Donkey Mantis Clearance" (since the area of my work was TAL - technology alert list), which in my understanding is the same FBI name check. They just do it faster for DOS. I also mentioned my current work on several SBIR government contracts, but i really doesn't think it matter since those are purely research.
 
I hope you didn't put a lot of 'Salt' in that letter :D .
