Wow 7 approval letters in one day. They bombarded me with the letters. I had called the USCIS and asked where is my I-797(approval letter) and the lady first said wait 90 days blah blah blah..So i asked her no I cannot because I already have my GC and I want it(gosh it feels good to have more rights)...So she put me through an officer and I asked him..and he was like OH thats weird, I will send you don't worry!

I recommend anyone who didn't get an approval letter to get one. As the officer said, if your GC is lost or you need a new one, a faster way to get is to get the copy of I-797(approval letter) sent to USCIS or local embassy and they issue you new one or a returning resident Visa.

ITs also easy if you were to apply for other benefits. Its something every Approved person should have in their records.

Want,

Perhaps this is their response to your RFE response package consisting of 200+ pages? They are "getting you back". :D

Returning GCs requested for correction in 7 business days is the faster and easier thing uscis should do.

Dardan, haha iwouldnt mind it. When I saw the 7 letters..I was like "NOW WHAT"...still it wasn't a worried feeling if I hadn't gotten by GC....I was hoping they would've send me a mail saying "OH sorry your resident date is 2001, we made a mistake" but no luck man! no luck!

Hey Want,
Since I never received my approval notice so I decided to give them a call this morning after reading your post. The stupid reps (two of them) told me that I need to file I-824 form and pay $200 if I want the duplicate notice. I told them that this is something I never received to begin with and I have never moved. As usual its of no use to argue with these dickheads over the phone
I guess I have the card and I'm not gonna worry about it.

Thanks for the suggestion Want, I got my BP raised early in the morning for nothing  ..
