Got 3rd EAD in mail on Saturday

RD for 3rd EAD: 09/15/2003

Don't know when it was approved - I didn't have the EAC# for EAD. 3rd AP is still pending.

Surprisingly, some act of wisdom from VSC! This EAD is postdated - valid from 01/21/2004 to 01/20/2005.

Approval

Hey Vidongre, I was hoping you would get approval of 485 TRIGGERED BY the application for EAD. Apparently, that has not happened.

I was late in applying for 3rd EAD (false hopes I guess) but do you know the procedure if my EAD does not come in time?

Our 2nd FP is not updated.

About your EAD - just hope that you get it on time. Otherwise you've to wait for 90 days from EAD RD and go to the local INS office to get an interim EAD. Not very sure how it works!

I thought I would see an approval message from you. I am in the same boat, have applied for 3rd EAD/AP. How did you find out that your case is in "background check"?

But the guy said that he is just liasion between the office and the customer. Essentially did not give any information that is not available on online check. None at all.

I know that you guys have been checking case status etc and getting more details. How is one supposed to do that? This guy just took my details and said he would initiate inquiry, same as everyone else.
 
vidongre, senator's office told me my case has been assigned to an officer. Does that mean I passed the background check?
I'm so confused.

Have you ever contacted congressman?

Senators office in my area told me that it will take 60 days more for my case as this is they learn from VSC officer . Does this mean that my case has been assigned to officer ? or it is very general reply ? My 2nd FP is not yet updated almost 5 months now
 
I got the same reply from senator as kash...

I met a senator at the ombudsman meeting in Chicago. They sent an email to VSC and got a reply saying we should hear something in 60 days. I believe it's a general reply. 'coz they received a reply from VSC within a couple of hours! I doubt VSC even opened our case details to see what's happenning.

'Background check' news was given to me by tier 2 IIO in mid-nov and she said - "It takes a long time for background check". Don't know if it means the case is assigned to an officer.
