Got 2nd FP notice and had an early FP done

Got the notice on Firday evening. The scheduled date was Sep 9, 2003. Went on Saturday and got the early FP done at Atlanta ASC.

Sometime back I called up the toll-free number and asked about the status of my case. Got the reply for that too the same day - it basically said my address is updated; I never asked that to be done. Don't know if that triggered the 2nd Fp.

Now I have another thing to ask. How do I trigger something so that the officer can look at my case? Can applying for my 3rd EAD trigger that?

ND: 12/28/01
1st FP: 03/14/02
RFE: 07/13/03
RFE received: 07/9/03
2nd FP: 08/15/03

Online message not updated - still the old message. dengdeng, is there anyway for me to trigger something so that my case is touched. I hate to wait 1.5 months till my actual FP date.
 
frantic, if there is a way, then I can get my case touched.

No, just wait peacefully for 1.5 months. You at least get 2nd FP done!

can you tell me when the notice was issued. I'm 072 too.

Few weeks back, we had seen some approvals after 2nd FP. But last week, we have not seen any. What do you think, VSC has stopped approving Dec cases?

I haven't seen much Dec actions recently. That's why we have to send the peition or file lawsuit.
Otherwise we'll stuck there till one day we unfortunately lose our jobs.

I have found one Dec case 2ndFP approved on 8.15. That's all for that day

Can applying for EAD renewal trigger the adjudicating the case?
The cases which are waiting for about 20 months or more after 2nd FP....like me, will the EAD renewal application probably help to trigger so that our cases might be opened by some Adjudicators? Or BCIS will just suck the EAD renewal application money without doing anything on original I-485 file?

Please post ...What do you think about it?

skaus2001, 7250357 was approved today, this case has a 3/14 first FP date., so I guess they are approving second FP cases. :)

I always save my scan results with dates. I see from my scan results of 8/15, for this EAC # , the online msg was last updated on 7/16/03 with 'Resumed/FP recvd' . So, may be this case was already assigned before 2nd FP. God only knows how BCIS works.

I need your thought. I am working for the same company and I am on H1 now and it's Valid till Jun 2004. But just to have it, last year I had EAD card also (but not used) which is expiring soon. Do you think, I should go for renewal of EAD , which may trigger to touch my I-485 file?

Anyway, renewal EAD card is a good option. Thus you have H-1 and EAD. In case your current company cut you before 485 approved, you have EAD card. but don't use it. Use H-1 instead.

I don't think applying EAD will trigger positive actions on 485. they have your case information in the system. No need to pull your 485 applications to approve the case. Adjudicators are totally different group.
 
dengdeng, regarding the issue date - I didn't take a photocopy of the FP letter. They were taken by the ASC. I will post it when I receive the letter from my attorney.
