Got 2nd FP and RFE

Got 2nd FP(receipt - 9/10 for FP on 10/10) and RFE(9/19).

RFE is about EVL, paystubs, W2's & Tax (3yrs) (The Standard) AND .......
Birth Cert. for both of us and marriage Cert.
We had provided the Birth and Marriage cert. I dont know why they asked again ??????.

So something is happening, hopefully i dont have to wait another 6 months before they touch my case again, hopefully another month .??????? wait and watch

Make sure you give a couple of weeks betwee FP and replying to RFE. Would be interested in hearing about your RFE details (why birth and marriage certs. even though you had supplied them) when you find out more.

what's the logic behind "give a couple of weeks betwee FP and replying to RFE"? Please explain.

1. Go for EARLY FP ASAP!
2. Reply RFE ASAP!

Don't delay either. Your approval is definitely so close I can smell it. My reasoning behind the same is an old hat argument that to issue RFE the case officer has to have your case open and while he is waiting for your response, if over a certain period of time sends the file back to the warehouse. If you respond quickly you can take advantage of the file being on the officer's desk and get your approval.

It doesn't take more than 4 days post FP for the results to be sent back to INS. If you current FP results are still valid till Oct. Then more power to you, get the RFE OUT NOW!
