Hi Guys,
My GC processing is full of twists. First my 140 was withdrawn in March 2004, almost 250 days after pending 140 / 485. I am not sure what is happening with the case as till today evening, my 485 is still continuing.
I applied for another 140/485 in California 4 weeks back.
Yesterday, we recieved FP notice with receipt date and priority date 6/27/2003, which is the RD of my previous 485. The FP notice is in form of I 797, notice of action and it does not have the 485 application number on it although it says case type I 485. It has got an application number which reads like FPS* 0027......., I do not know what that number is. The FP notice date is 10/21 and FP is due on 11/12. The notice is similar to approval notice we get on H1 and says that FP is required to process the application. It has the standard Homeland security, USA stamp etc. on top and green background. The copy is marked as applicant copy.
Today we received another FP notice which does not have a priority date, there is no field for priority date. The FP notice date is 10/22 and FP is due on 11/5 (Just a week's notice).
This notice has the case type 485 and application number of my new 485 e.g. WAC050*******. It has also got a code 3 and service center WSC on top. There is no priority date this time, the copy is marked as applicant copy and is on a white sheet, not in the format of I 797 and not on the sheet like the first FP. Instead of FP, in the details it says Biometrics.
Interestingly enough, we have got 2 FP notices for my kid as well although I did not apply for the kid in my previous case last year and did not even pay the FP fee. The FP notice received for my kid yesterday says priority date 9/30, which is the RD of our case at CA. This also means that my both 485 are probably linked now thru the A #. There is no priority date on FP notice received today.
Both FP's are scheduled at Oakland, CA.
I am confused on what is going on? Do I take both the notices when I go for FP and surrender one of them while using the other one or do I go for FP 2 times, which I do not think makes any sense.
Guys, please shed some light based on your experience or otherwise.
