Hi,

Could you please explain as to what the IIO meant when he/she said that they can\'t send FP notices due to visa unavailability? did the IIO mean that there aren\'t visas available for this (FY2000) year? or does it include FY2001 as well?

Also, when the IIO said the application would run the normal course, did he/she mean to say that they would look at the application when they come around to it, make sure they are ok with everything(send an RFE if they have to), and just before adjudicating it, would send out an FP notice? (unlike the procedure in place now, where they send FP notice first...and a few months later look at the application, and send an RFE if they have to...and finally adjudicate)

Did the IIO indicate when they might get around to your application?

Any info, would be highly appreciated.

Hi !

I did not talk to her longer, since there would be so many people waiting to talk to her and you never know too many questions might have lead to rude answering from her end.

I think I posted everything what she(Nancy) had told me. Also, I remember her telling me saying that they have sent FP notices to those people whose PD is not current and that could lead to FP redo (if it expires). In other words, she meant that they would look at the application and if it is eligible for adjudication, they would be sending FP notices (which means Visa no is available for that country, PD is current, etc etc).

I do not know whether they would be sending FP notices again from October when the fiscal year begin. Probably, some one else can call up IIO and get that information from us.

Based on what she told me, I feel FP notice would be sent when it is eligible for adjudication. I could be wrong though.
