I am a grad student in a US school. Initially i was planning to graduate in aug 2005 and the start my OPT from sep 2005. i heard that it is not a good time to graduate since my emplyoyer will get just one chance to file for my H1 B and I will be in the gap peried from sep 2006- oct 2006
Can some pls tell me if it is a good idea to postpone my graduation by 2 months ( say OCT 2005) so that i will get a better chance to file for H1-B visa and also avoid the gap period.
Can someone here pls let me know when H-1B visa is filed and when does it get over so that i can file for my OPT accordingly and avoid the gap period
