Attorney from the law office of Sheela Murthy says above on 12/18/2002 that "INS has substantially completed updating their computer systems and are now trying to deal with the backlogs created while the system was put in place."

I would like urge you all to post reply to the thread posted on the Murthy forum. Ask what is the source of this information. If more people ask it may be we will get a response from Attorney_8. Heads up guys, may be the good news is on its way!!

I just came back from their office after meeting one of their attorneys. I asked her about the rumour going on.She said that probably I am approved and waiting for the notice to be mailed out. She said that they will be out with this news bulletin tomorrow. I guess they knew the urgency of this forum:) She said that she also visits this forum frequently. So, guys watch out and keep this forum decent enough.
 
What is "they will be out with this bulletin tomorrow" what do you mean? the approval notice will be out?
 
I believe, they usually put

these news in the friday's bulletin. I told her that people in this forum are so desperate and lots of rumors going around. She said that she has not heard of "no approvals till July'03" rumor so far..:D
It was her speculation that I might be approved and the notice is just waiting to be printed.:)

Well, different lawyers are telling difference stories. But all of them are saying "won't be long". I emailed Shihab and he told me the freeze should be short. He also mentioned he would attend a meeting on 12/17 and then he will have more information available. But he hasn't told me anything yet.

I guess this freeze shouldn't be long, it's not for 485 only, all the naturalization are on hold. Imagine angry furture citizens vote for Bush? Bush wants to win Texas,
many Mexicans are there. Why he want to ruin his second office run.

I think the major reason of this delay
1) Special registration(need staff and sort out illegal ppl)
2) FBI check(INS wants to push FBI by completeing stopped approvals, so FBI can finally send someone to work on it, one word, politics.)
3) Holiday (most of us are in holiday mood too, lazy at work)

INS seems almost finish 042-054 cases. So once the freeze ends, we should see 055 above cases adjudicated.

I guess YOU hve to watch what you write about LOSM ;) :D Not those of us who haven't hired that firm to represent us!!
Good luck with your own approval, though. Hope your attorney's predicitons come true. Mine said it would take Dec cases until Feb (this was well before the freeze) and he's been right in the past; so I gave up wishing for something positive to happen before Dec this year.

Guys, I also pray lord that this should happen. If this happens, it's good for all of us. Let's wait & see ......

Please, please!! don't take me wrong. This thread was meant to share my sincere openion. Lets wait until what other attorneys have to say. I really hope everyone else on this board including me get the good news soon.

I know murthy has posted that INS has finished updating their system & are ready to announce approvals. I almost this is a fake.

Look at murthy's website for EADs approval Date for Vermont Service Center. (Murthy is already into 2003 year :)...very funny).
I think Murthy has a program (batch job) which updates all these dates. FAKE!!!! FAKE!!!! FAKE!!!!!

personally, i think murphy has more credibility than magesh_kk. according to magesh_kk back before the INS october audit, INS was supposed to start parallel processing. again, magesh_kk said it was from his "INS SOURCE". if the parallel processing were true, most of september, october, and even maybe november I-485s won't be going through this wait with the INS implementing the system. well, of course, we saw no action after the audit. then the INS system implementation came in place and stopped everything.

sorry magesh_kk, i know you mean well. but it's hard for me to believe anything you say now. got my hopes up for nothing.
