Good News:Nomore special Registration

Worng answer, this sounds like bad news.

Look at this para

More than 290,000 registrations were reported through Sept. 30, and 2,870 people were detained as a result of registrations with 23 people still in custody, Hutchinson said.

We are talking about 10% culprits this is not a small number. Just to scare all gulf countries and to have a handle US started war at Iraq but the major number of terrorists are somewhere else like Pakistan, saudi and around it. Now US allows all of those...!!!
In otherwords terriorsts can come to US just like you and me in regular channel.
This is a redflag to me.

Glxy,

I would disagree with your posting, first of all special registration is more targeted towards certain countries and there could be many more terrorist who weren't born in the countries in SR list thus not effective. Now do you really think that a terrorist would voluntarily goto INS and offer his fingerprint? and its not nice for you to give a lable of terrorist country as none of the countries in the list promote terroris and those who did aren't in control anymore. So in short the resources can be used properly towards specific terror hunting then having ppl go thru INS legality. If the Registration was to get rid of illegal immigrants then Mexico should be in the list. Anywayz just my 2 cents and hope i didn't offend anyone

We dont care about other countries. The list was very appropriate this is where most of the terriorists come from.

Why not ? what is he going to loose any way he will be killed by himself once he can make into this country at some point.

>and its not nice for you to give a lable of terrorist country as none of the countries in the list promote terroris and those who did aren't in control anymore.

"none of the countries in the list promote terriorists" - wrong statement, Looks like you dont watch TV and read news paper - most of the attackers were from Saudi Aribia few were from its neighbouring countries. It doesnt need a rocket scientist to know that worlds most notourious terriorists are right now in pakistan US troops in afghanistan having hard time to catch those guys entering into. Looks at the gulf countries how many "insurgents" are just from Iraq itself.
What US is doing is unpresident job to establish democracy to participate every civilian to have freedom and feel that its his/her country. Again democracy doesnt come for free, it needs awareness of every civilian who are being robed and controlled by an idiot monarch and his associates accross the country.

I feel the money we pay is enough to processing our apps. we dont need any extra "resources". All the time our money goes for some thing else.

Guys,

Try to take this type of discussion elsewhere. I don't think this
is an appropriate forum for getting into political discussions about
terrorism and terrorists.

Glxy, you may also want to make an effort to gradually improve your writing (at least the spelling). I had a difficult time understanding what you were trying to say.

I don't mean to offend anyone.

Thanks guys.

I agree with PhoenixSaint ... we need to concentrate on immigration issues only and support Kashmir in his efforts for a better immigration process.
