Good Conduct certificates???What are they referring to?

Can someone please throw some light on this.......

When the Canadian Consulate requests for letters of " No record" or certificates of " good conduct", do we need to submit good conduct certificates from previous employers and acquaintances or are they referring to Police Clearance Certificates?
If it is the latter, how can we obtain this Police Clearance Certificates from India?
Can we request relatives to obtain this on our behalf?

Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

good cunduct certificate refers to PCC from India. You can do either obtain these from the Indian consulates in US or from your home town in India. Please take the time in browsing through the buffalo tacker thread in this forum. This topic has been sufficiently addressed there IMO.
