Going to Mexico - Old name vs. new name documents

I requested a name change (my first name as well as my last name to my husband's name) when applying for my citizenship. I passed the interview and received a note with the oath date. I am planning on going to Mexico 2 days after the oath date. However, my European passport, driver’s license and my ticket will have my old name. Unfortunately I will not have enough time (before my trip) to apply for a passport. I can try changing my name on my driver’s license but I am not sure if that would even help considering the ticket and my passport will be on my old name but I will certainly do everything I can to do so.

I understand it would be easier if I had my old name on the certificate of naturalization but is it too late to request to keep my old name? Or should I hope that with “Petition for Name Change” form along with Certificate of Naturalization (new name) and my passport, picture ID, and ticket (with old name) I will have no issues entering back U.S.?

Are you traveling by air or sea? If you're traveling by air, I think you'll find that you need a valid US passport before you can come home. Remember that your GC is taken during the oath ceremony, so you won't be able to reenter the US using your European passport.

You can get a passport same-day if you go to one of the regional passport centers, or use a fee-based passport agent.
