Going to India on H1B

Hi,

I've valid USA Visa (H1B) stamped till Oct-2006.
I am currently in USA with my I-94 Card stapled to my passport permitting my stay till Oct-2006.

I am going to India on a vacation for 4 weeks.

I believe the Immigration Officer at USA air-port will take back the I-94 Card while I leave USA and I'll get another I-94 Card when I come back.
Is that correct or I'm allowed to take the I-94 card[I].(This should be silly...but just want to confirm).[/I]

While coming back to USA, do I need to show all the relevant papers (I-797, H1B petition, education documents, pay stubs from my employer etc) at the Immigration Counter (India or USA) ?

When I come back, is that a guaranteee that my I-94 Card will permit me to stay till same date as it showed before i.e Oct-2006?

3)
Do I need to take along with me any other required documents before I leave for India on vacation?

4)
Which all documents do I need to take to India which may be required to show any of the Immigration Counter?

Can anyone please let me know as I'm going to India for the 1st time after I
came here.
