Going for a CP while on a break in India

I'm planning to file for a I-140/CP sometime later this month.
Question:
I would be going back to India sometime in November to join the Indian offices for a short while, about 6-9 months, which means that I would be in India, on Indian Payroll, at the time of Interview(assuming everything goes fine and I get a Consulate Interview date :)
Could there be any potential issues for the above mentioned situation, or has anybody gone through such a situation.

Thx

Hope it is not a Ross & Rachel kind of break ... ;)

Anway, it should not be a problem. But keep in mind if you plan to file for AOS, you have to be in US while (non-concurrent) filing 485, so this might be your best choice.

Also, 6-9 mos. it is unlikely that you will get your interview if you are filing your 140 now.

Thanks for the information.
So you're saying, if I file in late june, I won't be able to get an interview date by end of March.
Please confirm.
If you would know, is there a way to track current timings

Thx

Depend on the approval time frame of 140. Add at least 6 mos. from the projected approval date of 140 for interview (and this is close to the best case scenario).

If you think your 140 will be approved in 3 mos. (when you file in late june) you might hit the March/April time frame.

Check cptracker.com for factual timelines of individuals for post 140 approval phase.
