GMAIL - USCIS having problems?

Hi everyone,

I have not had any kinds of updates on my cases since Dec 13th. Had my FP done on Dec 15th and received my Intitial Interview notice at the beginning of the month (Jan).

I know this might be odd, but does anyone have a GMAIL mail account and uses such for e-mail notification on the USCIS website. And furthermore, has anyone gotten any e-mail notifications succesfully.

The reason why I am asking is that I had a problem with my Anti-Virus Scanner (new update) and when I was expecting an e-mail from them and never got on, they told me that they have been having issues with gmail accounts. Now, this is not the first time that I have heard of people having problems with getting their mail.

I kind of have been expecting some updates regarding my EAD. So i am just wondering...

I doubt its a problem with USCIS being able to send emails to GMail accounts. Most email problems experienced by users have more to do with email account settings than the actual Gmail servers. I get this complaint at work a lot The most common problem is the junk mail filter. Sometimes, if the junkmail filter is set to 'high', it will 'filter out' most emails with mass mailing characteristics, including USCIS updates.

Check your junkmail folder for any missed emails and possibly reduce the filter settings.

Again, this is the most typical problem when dealing with email updates.

I m getting updates thru gmail without any problem.

thanks guys...i actually check my junk mail very thoroughly. so i guess i just have to be more PATIENT!!!!
