Give up Canada residency

I one had Canadian Residencya and now got US PR and want to maintain his/her GC. How does one give up canada residency?
But simply not staying in canada or does one have to inform an agency etc

If you don't stay 3 years out of 5 years, you are automatically losing your PR status. You don't need to do anything to "lose"/"give back" your Canadian PR.

Hi Mayank,

Do we loose PR or we r not eligilble for Citizenship ? Is there any official site stating the number of days we have to be present in Canada to maintain our PR ?

From first 5 years, you have to live in Canda for atleast 2 years after the initial 5 years period, you have to be in Canada for 2 years from last 5 years at any given time.
