Ginnu: H-1 transfer when I-485 pending

Ginnu/Gurus,
Need your advice on H-1 transfer while I-485 has been pending for 180 days (I-140 approved).

Would we get a 1-year or 3-year extension when applying for H1 transfer?

Does the lawyer have to submit copy of the I-485/I-140 receipt notices to get the extension?
