Hi all,
I am expecting an interview in Oct and if I travel thro UK, I believe I will need a transit visa since the H1-B stamp on my PP has expired. I have a valid extension for the next three years. I have the following qns:
(1)Do I need a transit visa if I plan to travel through UK both on my onward journey and return journey?
(2)If I need a transit visa, can I send a photocopy of my H1-B extension approval notice as opposed to the original?
(3)I understand duplicates will delay the process. But I will be able to book my tickets only after I know my exact interview date and I may have to purchase my tickets without any delay. How much longer will the process of issuing a transit visa be if I send a duplicate as opposed to the original of my H1-B extension?
Can someone with any experience shed some light? I am paranoid abt sending my H1-B approval to the UK consulate. Sending PP itself is a big tension.
Thanks for your time,
Dilbert
