Hi folks,

I am a Aug 13th filer and like most of you guys I was happily expecting my approval anyday soon. Well, there comes a problem. A day before yesterday(Jul 24th) I lost my project and my consulting company is terminating my employment on 2nd of Aug. Not a problem, I got a job which starts on 1st Aug but its in another state. I will be moving to other place in another state on or before 31st of this month. Also I wont be having a permanent address for couple of weeks until I get an apartment in the new town where I will be moving. So here are few question for the law experts on this board.

1. What are the options available for me?
2. What are the things I need to do to continue my I-485 process?
3. Do I need a new lawyer since old company lawyer is no longer available for me?
4. Should I inform the INS about this move, change of address and the employment switchover? If yes, then how do I do it?

Please feel free to share your opinions and tips.

Regards,

Hey don't worry relax!!!!!

Since yu already got a job all your problems are solved.:)
Just bother about changing the address at INS. Everything else will be ok as per AC21 law.
Don't inform INS about job change etc.
If you get RFE then reply through your new company lawyer.
Until then relax , you may get the approval as it is.
Anyway these are my thoughts which I learnt from this board's prev discussions. You should always consult an attorney before taking any action.
thanks..and good luck.

What about salary

Hi Guys,
You got jobs. That's great and congrtulations. Are you able to get same salary or more. Please don't take it otherwise.I am also in the process of changing job and shall I need to get the same that I was drawing from my sponsoring employer or not???
Please post your replies.

Regards.

aim for the better

of course you should try to get a better or an equivalent salary if you can. INS will not have any problem with high salaries. However, it may not always be feasible.

Will Address Change trigger SC change?

If one notifies INS - VSC for address change to TSC area, will that trigger the pendding i485 application be transfered to TSC area?

How to inform INS for address change?
