Hi,
I recently transferred my H1 to a new company. I applied in Apr 03 and I have got extension till June 2004 only bcause my employers LCA was expiring. Now my question is I want to apply for Green card thru my employer who is willing to do so. What are the steps involved and whats the total expenditure in this process... Do u guys recommend the faster processing method which is called RIR if iam right... Plz advise...

Thanks

Your questions are too basic. Please do some research on the website and you will find your answers

Unless yours is a very small company, and has not processed GC before, some on in HR should be aware of the process. They will explain the process to both you and your manger.
The initial process involves both you and your manager answering a questionaire regarding the position you are petitionng the GC for, the job requirement, job description etc. The HR/Attorneys take a look at your answers and prepare a draft for the job position involved, once every body agrees upon it, the Attorneys/HR prepares a final draft and posts a job available notice (a AD for the job) internally within the company. When they find favorable response, in this case no response at all :) the attorney will file a LCA with the local SWA. I am not sure of the expenditure (because that will involve lawer fees etc), but I think the cost of the GC is around 2-3grands depending on various fees involved (I am not so sure abt. that).
