I need help and advice about getting the PERM.
I am an MSC. Electronic Engineer working and I want to know the steps to get the PERM and other things that I have to know
Your company has to initiate the whole thing. They (company's lawyer) first get a prevailing wage determination for the position you will get a green card for. Then, they will do a recruitment effort, which takes approx 4-6 months including the prep work. After that, they will apply to PERM for you. Once you get your PERM, they will then apply for I-140 followed by I-485. If your category is not retro, then they will apply for those two together. After your I-485 is approved, you get your green card. Sounds simple, but it isnt
dude; you should check with an attorney. your question is very basic (but nonetheless important) and a lot of attorneys will be more than happy to go over the procedures with you for free.
there is a lot to type if one wants to explain the procedures to you, so your best bet is to call an attorney.
Your friends are correct. Call up any immigration attorney and indicate you wish to begin the PERM GC process. Any of them should be happy to address your concerns, most without a consultation fee.
