Getting nervous...

All the required forms were sent by FedEx last week to Chicago and received at 2pm on Tuesday, 10/28. Up until now, none of the checks has been cashed and/or any notices received from USCIS. Is it normal? I read on this forum that they normally cash the checks within a few days after receiving the package and people get NOA a week after documents submission.
Please encourage!
thanks!

Typically, it takes a couple of days but not for everyone. According to USCIS, you should panic after 30 days. From my & a couple of pple on this forum's experiences, if you don't get NOAs next week, watch out for a reject.

who gets it A few days? ? it takes at least 1-2 weeks, mine was like 11 days,
be patient.

Mine took a few days... 4 to be precise - I received the NOAs after about 6days. Seen other people too. And again I said, it's not the same for everyone. The first time I sent I waited for 3 wks...everyone else on my forum had thiers - afterwhich I had my package rejected. Seen other people on this forum say they've waited for more than 2wks, then they come back to say they received a reject. Again, only start to panic after 30 days - a time when you can call them.

No really a reason to be scare.

Worst case scenario you are going to have to send the paperwork again and at this point we not even know if you are going to have to do that. So just relax and enjoy the ride.

I've also heard that if it takes more than 3 weeks that it's an automatic denial.

PS. Just kidding.

Finally got the NOA letters on Saturday!!! What a relief! Notice day - November 4th.
They sent a $70 check back (the one I sent for I864-EZ), stating that it was an extra remittance unnecessary at this time  Also, on the I-485 NOA they have already given my relative an A-number, which I guess is a good sign. No case number or anything though to track it online. There is a receopt number that starts with MSC but it is not acceptable by the online status system.
Thanks for all your replies and support!

The MSC no. is your case no. It will show some day, it has shown up different times for different people.
