Hi.
I'm a new member of this forum, and I hope I can find some answers to my problem.
I am currently working in Africa for a US owned company, my roster is 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off. I have been entering the states up to 6 times a year on the Visa Waiver with no problems at all. Now my girlfriend and myself are talking about getting married, but I don't want to give up this job.
So the question is: Is there any way to get married, file the paperwork, go through all the legal stuff and still leave the country every 4 weeks?
Some of the lawyers I have spoken to have suggested to bypass the visa issue completely and just enter on a Visa Waiver and get married, then file the paperwork. I find this a bit strange, and I am a bit apprehensive about following that route. Any other received the same advice?
Thanks!!
