Hi gurus,
I have been working in the US for 3 years and my company sponsored me for the EB2 green card last year. My I485 and I140 have been received at the Nebraska center on May, 15th.
My issue is that my company has been bought by another company and they laid me off in september. I do not know if my company revoked my I140 or not, so I would like to try to transfer my green card process ( using the AC21 portability). My I485 is still pending, bu I also need to know my I140 status to use the AC21 portability.
I asked the I140 receipt number to the immigration lawyer of the company and they refused to give it claiming that the I140 is owned by the company and so they can not give me this information.
Do you know if I can force them to give me this receipt number ?
Is there another way to get this information ?
