I am working with company A, got H1 extension for me and H4 extension for my wife. My wife went to India with 1 yr old kid (who is US citizen) and planned to revalidate in Chennai. She applied and after 2 months they sent a letter requesting 2 documents - my employer's client list with their contact details and my projected assignment for the next 12 months. They also sent her passport back with a seal - "received date ...". My employer sent a letter in 5 lines stating I am working with their in-house project and will work there. My employer told me, it will satisfy the consulate. My wife submitted that letter and her passport 2 weeks ago and till now she didnt get visa.
I want to bring my wife and kid as soon as possible, as my kid is facing lot of trouble due to the change of weather, food, water.
I strongly feel, the delay is due to my employer's improper response.
So, I am planning to switch employer, get H1 transfer in premium process, send the copy to my wife to apply for visa.
Now, how can my wife get her passport back from the consulate ? what is the process to get back the passport ?
Will there be any problem to stamp with new visa ? When the previous visa is not stamped, can she apply with another visa approval ?
