Getting H1B Visa stamped in Canada?

Hi All,

My current H1B Visa expires on Dec 15th 2006 and I already have the stamping on my passport.

My company has renewed my H1B Visa and the new I-797 has a start date of Dec 15th 2006 and end date of Dec 15th 2009.

Can I go to Canada before the new I-797's start date of Dec 15th 2006 and get it stamped? i.e Can I go in Nov. to Canda and get it stamped or should I wait and go only after the start date of Dec 15th and get it stamped?
