getting finger prints before the scheduled date, can that be done?

I got my fingerprint letter today and the fingerprint appointment is about 2.5 weeks from today.

Is it possible to just 'walk-in' and do finger prints before the time mentioned or will that mess things up?

And, yes, it does say in 'bold letters' to 'appear at the appointed date and time'.

Any comments/suggestions will be appreciated.

I'd say do it .Where I lve they prefer you to come on weekend.If they are not busy they don't look at time or date.They just need the FP letter and your GC when you walk in. Make sure you hands/fingers are cut free and put some lotion prior to walkin to keep them soft.Sometimes I have heard it ia challenge.Good Luck Bro.
