Getting EAD in the Chicago field office

And haven\'t got my EAD yet. My H1 expires early next month. If I don\'t get it soon I\'m planning to go the Chicago office and see if I can get EAD there. Does anyone have experiences doing this? It would be greatly appreciated if you could share it with me.
 
I did.

I went to Chicago office 90 days after my application to NSC. They issued me an interim card after speaking to NSC office. However, my EAD is subsequently approved and I am waiting for the card to arrive in mail (for more than 3 weeks).

You can go without appointment, but it\'s better to be early as they only allow certain number of walk-in. I was there by 6:30 and out by 11:00. Take your I-140 receipt and all relevant documents including a photo ID.

I did not apply EAD, AP along with I-485. Once I receive the
I-485 receipt,is it possible for me to go Chicago INS and get
EAD on the spot and apply for AP ?? I know it is possible in
other centers,but if anyone tried at Chicago please post your
experience.

If I have to apply only at NSC please let me know how long it
takes after mailing the EAD and AP application to receive approval.

Xmas week then

Thank you very much for the info., Vanket. So that means I\'ll have to wait until 12/26. Hopefully there will be someone in the office during the Xmas week. Did you get your EAD on the same day?
