Getting EAD first time

My I140/I485/EAD/AP filed last week at VSC. Do I need to wait for 90 days to go to local INS office to get Interim EAD? My H1 is expiring in 2 months. I live clost to New York City.
Is there a way to get Interim EAD if my application is pending less than 90 days...
