getting a new licence during 485 AOS

My wife is in 485 AOS and her h4 visa stamp has expired.

Can she get a new license showing 485 documentation ?.

Are there any problems ?

I heard FL guys have some issues. But I can't think of any reason that her EAD will not be accepted. I would just show them that and not go into lengthy debates :)

I know people who came on a visit visa got driving license....

I just renewed my drivers license upto the date on my EAD. I am living in Fl. I did not have any issues and just showed them my EAD card. They gave me a piece of paper valid for 30 days and that I would get my license by mail in 30 days.

I had done this before and there were no issues.

Hi,

I have renewed mine and as I got the 'paroled' stamping (due to India trip) in my passport they issued licence for 4 years (not by EAD). If she doesn't have 'paroled' stamping on her passport then (I am not sure) she may need EAD.
