get passport stamped using courtesy copy?

My I 485 case was approved on 4/10. I got the courtesy copy mailed to my home two days later. However, my attoney still hasn't recieved the original notice. Can I use my courtesy copy to get the passport stamp in local INS? Anybody had such experience? Thanks.

Yes. I got my done using the courtesy copy. But that was in August last year and I am not very sure if anything has changed since.
