Hi all,
I am currently married to a US citizen and we are about to file for I-130 and I-485 next week. However, I was just informed that my labor certification through my current employer has been approved.
My priority date for the labor cert is 9/23/2002 and according the VIsa Bulletin, they are processing cases with priority dates earlier than 8/1/2002. So, I think I am pretty close.
I think my current employer will be filing for I-130 and I-485 for me pretty soon because they want to avoid from filing for the 9th year H-1B for me. Is it possible to have 2 pending I-130s and I-485s with USCIS at the same time? Will doing this jeopardize both cases? I really prefer to get the GC through my wife because I think it should be faster and I can work anywhere I want while waiting for the GC. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks
