Germany through France...Visa needed?

I am travelling to Germany next week but my flight stops in France and then to Germany. My wait time in France is 1 hour.

On French Consulate website, they dont mention if a visa is required if you go from Schegen to Schegen where your final destination doesnt require a visa.
I called the embassy but they got confused and said you do need a visa if you are entering france. But I am not entering france.

Anyone had this issue?

If you have a green card (or RTD or REP) you dont need a visa for airside transit (not crossing immigration)

See section 2

But because you are going to another schengen country, according to this doc immigration will be done in France (see under NOTA)

Thanks Nas. Can you please check again because this is a unique case.

Floyd, True GC holders don't need a Transit Visa, however since Germany-France is domestic flight, you go through immigration in France. And I am going to Germany so if I am transiting, it doesn't say anything about that.

I would have to go through French Immigration which is very rude i heard and then to Germany. So Can you find out for me NAS? I have called them twice and all they say is they are confused themselves...

Whats so confusing about this??

Sorry, edited my own post before seeing this post. Yes, it will be considered a domestic flight according to the same link, and and they will do the immigration in France. Quote: "If you transit through a French airport and if you need a visa for the Schengen state which is your main destination, you must apply for a short stay visa at the consulate representing that country."

You dont need a visa for germany, so you should be all set. But who will convince the French? Good luck.

Want,a friend of mine traveled to Germany with KLM via Amsterdam. He had trouble in Amsterdam to get a domestic flight for Germany. After a long wait of transactions and argument with officers, they let him pay money at airport to get a transit visa.I would advice you to travel straight to Germany with Delta or Lufthansa. If you want to pass by france, you will definitely need a shengen visa.Otherwise, you will be in big trouble. But they're not gonna send you back to USA.They will let you go to germany after getting a crap situation with the french.
