German Birth Certificate

Hi,
I'm getting all my documents together to file for AOS. I have an extract from my original birth certificate which is in german as well as in french and english (it's an international extract ).
I'm not sure if I should get it translated (AGAIN?) and notarized or if a copy is o.k.!

If anyone has experience with that I would be thankful for advice. I'm already freaking out about everything and just wanna make sure I do everything right!

Someone here in this forum had submitted a copy of his birth certificate which had a section in english and the same contents repeated in another section in non-english. USICS sent RFE asking for translation (doesnt make sense as the BC had an english section already). In your case, it wouldnt hurt to submit a certified translation. If they need it, they use it. If not, they would just ignore it.

I think to be on the safe side you are right. I've heard you can translate it by yourself and get it notarized. Does it have to be from the original birth certificate or do they except a translation from an extract ( I don't have my original BC)?
