Hi,
i am hoping i have posted in the right place, my apologies if i am wrong.
the reason im posting is because i really would like to move to the states, i have friends over there and each time i have been i have liked being there even more.
i think i need someone to point me in the right direction and see if its even possible for me to move there legally and all above board.
my education is that i am a school leaver, and took further education. right now i am proceeding with cisco CCNP, and i currently work for an IT support company in their networking and security department. every day i work with cisco, watchguard or similar completing networking tasks, troubleshooting or setting up new offices etc.
previous to this i was in 2nd line support whilst at night school completing the first stages of cisco qualification (ccna)
previous to this i was managing a branch for a custom exhaust fabrication company, but recieved no qualifications for this.
before the above i was in full time education but didnt go to university.
i am 23 years old, born in london with english parents and live in london now and always have.
can anyone suggest where i can look or go to speak to someone for advice? i have read that usa would like people to fill in positions where there arnt many of that type - how do i know if my cisco systems qualifications will help me here?
i have done a job search and read that most job descriptions say you either need a degree, or the equivelant experience in that field (when looking for cisco related jobs)
any help given is recieved with the greatest appreciation.
