Just called TSC, got through to someone almost immediately.

Asked them to check on my I-485, RD/ND Oct 2005. Last LUD in Dec 2006.
FP2 done in May 2007, no LUDs since then. EB2 India. Filed in CSC, transferred to TSC in Mar 2006.

Asked him if NC is done or FP2 results available. He told me that info. not available.
I asked why there was no LUD after FP2.
He replied that sometimes the FBI needs FP again to continue with background check.

Without my requesting it, he went ahead and filed a SR for me and said I should get some response in 45 days.

Now, I don't know whether it was good or bad to call and have a SR initiated. Is that bad? Did I just stoke some other procedures which may cause more delays or unnecessary inspections?

I asked him and he said it shouldn't harm, can only help.

What do you guys think?

I also asked what happened to my concurrent e-filed EAD/AP filed in May 2007? AP got approved in July but no news on EAD.
He said it is still within current processing time and wait for another 56 days and then call back.
This is unnerving since I'mworking on EAD and gave up my H1-B status.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like you got connected to uscis national customer service center and not TSC. normally uscis national customer service center create SR and not the TSC IO.
