gc with pr in canada

hello everyone!

my friend have a green card but now she needs to move to canada to join her family, is it possible to have both a gc and pr? howcan she maintain her gc if she decided to stay in canada? what will be the problem when she will go to the canada border and get her permanent residence card if they found out that she has a gc holder in us?
any advice is highly appreciated.

She will lose one of her status (eventually). It is frowned upon by the immigration officers since it is not possible to have two "permanent" residences at any given time.

my question is does the officer from the cAnadian border have the rights to cancel or confiscate her US green card? she cant lose her green card because she still need to go back to US, what is the best thing she can do when she enter the canadian border and get her permanent residence card there? hank you in advanced for the reply

-- She needs to apply for cdn PR - and then the process will take its own course. The only thing she should bear in mind that she cannot have two PRs forever.
