GC Validity for Child (derived) after 18 Year

One of my friend (Age 18 year) is working on Green Card (derived from his father - main applicant). Now his father wants to go back to europe and is going to surrender his GC.
How that will affect my friends GC status? Will that be valid?
He more than 18 Years 6-7 months old now. He also has sister who is 22 years, old and also working in US.

Will there be any problem if primary GC holder decides to return main GC?
Any help or pointer regarding this will be greatly helpful.

There is no effect.

If it has not been 3 years since he got GC for which his father
signed affadavit of support, he can still ask his father
for allowances.
