GC thru Marraige after I130?

Hi,

Does anyone whats will the next step be after we apply for I-130. I applied last month for a GC thru marraige, my wife has a GC and I am on H1. I got a receipt last week from INS with the ID number.
Is there a forum which someone can direct me to?
How do I know when my visa becomes current and I can then apply for adjustment of status thru I-485?

http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_2978.html - This is the link to visa bulletin, according to which your category-2A has current date of 08SEP99. So, you have about 7 years of waiting time. However, when your wife becomes a US citizen, you can upgrade your case, and then you wouldn't have to wait anymore (there is no waiting time for spouses of US citizens).

at uscis.gov for CA service center, the I-130 current date is JAN 05. Are these dates different for different countries like India, China?

No, the country doesn't matter for processing dates. The CA Service Center is processing the cases that became current in JAN 05. You can't go by that table unless your priority date is CURRENT, for which you check the link I gave you. :)
