GC through Ex-Employer(Not PERM) or Current Employer(PERM)

Hi Everyone,

I am on a H1B visa since 2 years and 10 months.

My Labor with my ex-employer(a small desi consulting firm) has been
approved with a priority date of March 2005.This is EB2.

My current employer(a fortune 500 US Company) has just filed my
Labor through PERM and I am awaiting for an approval very soon.
This is EB3.

Please advise me whether I can join my ex-employer and get the advantage
of priority date and EB2.

Also please let me know whether I need to inform my current employer's
attorney about the approval of my previous employer's Labor?
