Hi:
I have 2 Years Working in the US under a TN Visa Sponsorship scenario , it seems my employer is about to close the company , so im looking for a new job but TN sponsorship is not that easy now , reviewing posibilities I have in order to stay in the US , I recall my grandmother is a Native American she was born here in the US and then she moved outside the US and got married in Mexico , she came back many years later .

Is It posible to Apply for a GC for my Mom and then for me.? is this posible? Should I discuss this with an attorny or defenitily should I dismiss this option?

Kind of regards ...

Possible but a very very long process and wait. Don't need to discuss it with an attorney. It will take around 8 years for your mother's petition to approve. Once she has green card it will take her 5 more years to get US Citizenship and then she applies for you so another 8 years.

If you are married and over 21, you fall under F-3 category and an average wait is around 8 years.

Yes, what you're thinking of is possible, but it would take about a decade or more, and you wouldn't be allowed to wait in the US for most of that time.

However, your mom may be a citizen and doesn't know it. And by extension, you may also have US citizenship through your mother.

But more facts are needed to establish that ... Did your grandmother live in the US for at least 10 years, including at least 5 years after her 14th birthday, before your mother was born? Did your father or grandfather become a US citizen?

Hi there :
Tks so much for the info , my grandmother stayed here 'til she was 22 years old , then she knew my grandfather and move to Mexico ; I read a little bit in the uscis web site about the citizen for childrens , and i saw that it seems the children must be under 18 years old and not married , so I gues my mother cannot apply for this scenario . is there any resource or option in this case . ?

Kind of regards
