GC Stamping without approval notice

Saw the 485 approval notice just today.
It was approved by CSC on Jan 1. Seem like they work on New Year day.

ND: 12/27/02

Do I have to wait for approval notice before going to local INS office?
I can make trip if I can get the stamping by Jan 5.
Have anyone heard about stamping with approval notice?

I don't know where you live, but I got it couple of days. I live in San Jose. My case was approved on Dec 30. Notice was mailed on Dec 31 and I recieved it on Jan 2. Keep in mind Jan 1 was a holiday.

ND 12/27/02 ???????????????? or 12/27/01

must be 12/27/01..rt?
 
My ND is 12/27/02 and not 2001
I had applied i485 in 2001 but withdrew in 2001 and again applied on 2002. Withdrawal was processed and I got a letter only in Nov, 2003.
My guess is that they opened all my files at that time due to my withdrawal.

I also got RFE about paystub and W2 in Dec.
I have not change of jobs.

Iam also in San Jose. So I guess, I will wait for the approval notice.
