GC Stamping question in NYC?

Hi all,

I live in upstate NY (Dutchess County) and I got the approval letter which mentioned to appear at 26. Federal Plazza,NY on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 PM. I got an appointment on Thursday thru INFOPASS at Federal Plazza. Can I go to Thursday or I need an appointment on Friday? or Can I go to Albany District Center for stamping? If yes which day ?

Thanks in advance.

1. Stick to your appointment on thursday (is your appointment for PP stamping or for anyting else ?)
2. You can go to the Albany district center for stamping. Check the timings at Albany center and if they allow walk-ins.

I got my approval for stamping at Minneapolis, whereas i did my stamping at Manchester, NH (walk-in).

Hope that helps.

Stamping question

Hi vagarwal ,

Congratulations.
I will be going in for stamping in DC. Could you tell what all needs to be carried along and what is the process for stamping.

I have been asked to get I94, original notice, 2 Photos (the specs have changed recently on the BCIS site), EADs, APs and the passport. Anything else I should be carrying with me?

Also, I sent AR 11 earlier this month but the 485 approval notices never reached at my new add, so I don't think the address update has been made in their system yet. Should I get my address changed at the time of stamping? I have AR11 mail and return receipt, which I plan to carry with me for stamping. Any suggestions to handle the address change issue?

Hi ashrit

It's very simple process.
You need to handover I94, Approval notice , 2 Photos (front facing), all issued EADs and APs as you mentioned that's it.

It's better you get address change at the time of stamping.
