GC stamping, is it required if one has the card ?

Hi ,

Just curious, should i get i also get my passport stamped in addition to having the plastic card. my GC got recently approved and got the email the card has been ordered. not sure if i need to also get my passport stamped ?

Will appreciate any advice/experience.

No. They won't even agree to stamp your passport if they know the card has been sent. Stamping is given only for people who have not received the card after a long time (like over 30 days) since the green card was approved or people who need to travel urgently (and even then sometimes they won't give the stamp).
